2.) Complete 1 offer - I recommend the free 30-day Intuit website trial. You'll get a free website (which in turn could help you get referrals!) It won't cost you anything to sign up for it. You can cancel before the 30 days is up, but don't cancel right after you sign up. At least try the service. Afterall the website can come in handy!

I have been researching freebie websites for a long time, and while many of them are out to scam you, there are a few that are true to their word. FreebieJeebies and Bonus Network are some of the best and will guarantee a free laptop to everyone who signs up and completes the program. Here's what to do:

Register with Valid Information
Go to FreebieJeebies (or Bonus Network) and sign up with a valid email adress. You will also need to make yourself a username and password. Both are trusted companies that have been doing business for years, so you don't have to worry about spam. If you are still unsure, you can set up a temporary email account with Gmail or Yahoo just for use at freebie websites. All other personal information such as credit card numbers is handled by the sponsors, so there is no risk of identity theft. When you are done with your registration, move on to step #2.

Complete an Offer of Your Choice
The next step is to complete one (or possibly two at FreebieJeebies) of the many available sponsor offers on the website. Many of these are free trials, so there is no obligation if you don't enjoy the service. The sponsor offers are from well known and trusted companies like Netflix, Blockbuster and Video Professor, and feature products that you would probably buy eventually regardless of using them to get a free laptop. Once you have gotten credit for the offer, ( usually takes 3-5 days ) then move to #3.

Refer Friends and Family

Have Patience

The thought of actually getting something like a iPhone, Macbook Pro, or PS3 for FREE is really exciting. I know you'll be hoping that you'll get all your referrals within a week, but chances are that it won't happen. It can be discouraging if you don't get any referrals right away, but keep at it! It can take months to get the referrals you need. Remember, the more you work at it, the better chance you have of getting your prize faster!

I've done my research on these types of things, and have found something that will encourage you. The first freebie you earn usually takes the longest, because most people are skeptical or think its a scam. Once you recieve your prize and show others proof of your hard work, you will probably notice that your referrals will start coming in faster, and your freebies start coming in easier. So, be patient. Keep working at it and you'll get free stuff faster after completing your first freebie site!

Talk to Friends

This is usually the best (and fastest) way for getting referrals. Just bring it up and tell people about it. Keep in mind that not everyone will be interested. Most people will think its a scam. Tell them you can show them proof via the internet. Tell them how it works.

Facebook/Myspace

Write a short note on facebook. Most likely alot of your friends will see it. Don't write anything long, because no one will probably bother to read it. Keep it short and sweet.

Blog About It

If you have one (or more!), it's a good idea to post about it on your blog(s). Who knows, maybe one of your readers will be interested, or at least would want to help you get a referral! If you don't want to type up a whole lot, just copy your facebook note and paster it into your blog, and publish!

Sidebar link

To keep your referral link on your blog at all times, post it on your sidebar. Post at the top on either side, so its easy to spot. You could even make a nice graphic that stands out to catch more attention. If you have more than one website, be sure to post it on all of them!

Send Emails

Email is one of the easiest ways to get your referral link out. Again, copy your facebook note and send it out to your whole address book! There's bound to be a few people sign up under you.

Email Signature

Put your referral link or a link to your blog post/facebook note at the end of every email when you sign your name, or set it to do that automatically.

Forum Signatures

If you're active on any forums, put your referral link or a link to your blog post in your signature there. That way it will be there with everything you post. The more you post the more your link gets put out there. If you have a good rep on the forum, this will get a good amount of signups. Don't spam the board with unrelated posts, though.

Instant Messenger

If you use AIM, MSN, Yahoo, or whatever, you can do this technique. Put your referral link on your away message and write a little about how you're getting a certain prize for free, and tell them how they can too. Also post this on your IM profile.

Promotional Tools

Most freebie sites have tool you can use to help promote your referral link. Usually they have a HTML and forum code that you can post into your blog or signatures. They want you to get referrals just as bad as you do yourself, so take advantage of these tools.

Wait a second, what in the world is a freebie site? If you’re reading this and have no idea what I’m talking about, basically there’s websites out there that will give you cool electronics or cash for FREE if you sign up on their site, complete a couple trial offers from one or more of their partnering companies and then refer a certain number of other people to do the same. These freebie websites send potential customers, like yourself and your friends, to companies to try their products and services with no obligation. (Although you can cancel at any time, I recommend you be fair to the company and give them a try since they’re helping you get your free stuff). In return, the freebie website gets a commission from the company whose trial you signed up. The freebie website then spends part of it on sending you a nice thank-you in the form of cash or a cool gift like an Xbox, iPod Touch, iPhone, even HDTVs. It’s all 100% legit.

How much is this going to cost me?
It depends on which trial offer(s) you decide to try. Some, like trying Stamps.com for a month, are complete free and won’t cost you a penny. Others, like PhotoStamps.com, require only a 1-time cheap purchase and that’s it. Every company is real and legit and most are offers you might want to try anyway, like a month of Blockbuster or Netflix.
